GOLD HILL, NORTH CAROLINA
A RICH HISTORY...
Gold Hill, North Carolina is a tiny village unlike any other. Known for its rich history of gold mining, the village is now a quiet town not far from Charlotte. Gold was discovered in Gold Hill in 1824, and the building of the town followed not too long after. Most of the original buildings are gone today, but a group of historians, investors and preservationists set forth to rebuild the village in the 1990s and 2000s. The village is now home to nearly a dozen shops, a restaurant, the Gold Hill Mines Historic Park, as well as numerous private homes. Come step back in time with us and soak in the rich history of our little village.
